User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Works great
I’m perfectly happy with this product, not expensive AT ALL and works great. Thank you Cables Unlimited for not ripping us off :) .

5 Stars Can’t go wrong with these
I purchased these a while and can’t say anything bad about them. You can’t really go wrong on video cables. I got them for a great price so if you’re thinking about getting these, go for it. They won’t disappoint you!

4 Stars Fine, cheap cable
Before I had this cable, I used a cheap DVI cable with a DVI-to-HDMI adapter on the end, meaning I had about 6 inches of stuff, weighing significantly, hanging off the back of my TV and putting pressure on the HDMI jack. I bought this cable instead, and it works exactly as advertised, and more cheaply.

One quibble is that one of the thumbscrews for the DVI end wouldn’t screw into the back of my Mac Mini. I don’t know if it was the screw on the cable or the hole on back of the Mac, but it really shouldn’t matter as long as I’m not moving things around.

1 Star Poor Quality Cable
I agree with many of the comments that a digital signal is a digital signal when it comes to HDMI/DVI cables, but there is most definitely a difference in cable build quality. This cable is cheap in price and quality. The HDMI input was not very snug and had some trouble getting a solid connection. It also had some issues with grain, which I think had to do with the connection, but could have been something else.

I upgraded to a Belkin cable and it was a world of difference. The Belkin cable cost more ($23), but the build quality of the cable is worlds apart; I have no issues with the Belkin on all accounts.

I don’t think it makes sense to spend $80 – $125 on HDMI/DVI cables, but spending $22 – $25 on higher build quality cables is well worth it.

5 Stars Cables Unlimited HDMI to DVI cable review
This cable arrived very quick and brand new. It worked as soon as I pluged it in to my PS3 and it’s still working 2 years later. I am very pleased with this product. Works very well with my PS3 connected to my computer monitor and I am able to get the full 1080p which looks mind blowing in all PS3 games.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars WOW
I read every one of the reviews here as well as CNET’s and decided to buy this TV. I was partial to plasma after seeing my share of LCDs in bars, homes, stores and restaurants, and I find them (LCDs) to be too bright and the viewing angles aren’t so great. IMHO, I just think plasmas look more realistic and since they’ve improved over the years, I was even more inclined to go plasma. I ordered the G10 on Monday and it was in my house and set up on Friday. I just moved up to this Panasonic plasma from my old JVC RPTV (which my neighbor now has). I got a great deal from Amazon which included free shipping and a BD player. I have the TV and BD hooked up to Directv with HD. The HD picture is nothing short of amazing. I don’t see the problem with THX–it looks fine to me, even under indirect daylight. I don’t like an overly bright picture (as you’ll find in the “game” mode). I also have no problem with screen glare even though the TV faces the windows. I have yet to see a BD disc on this TV, and find it hard to believe that the picture can be better than just a regular DVD, which looks fantastic. Regular (non-HD) programming looks about as good as can be expected, but the purpose of this TV is for watching HD material, so I don’t find that to be a problem. The sound is fine…I don’t expect 10 watts per speaker to sound like a theater. I hooked up a pair of Altec Lansing PC speakers with subwoofer, and that helps expand the sound. I’m not one to sit home and endlessly watch TV or movies, so I don’t need the whole home theater experience. Anyway, it’s only been 1 day but I am very pleased with this TV. I can hardly wait to show it off to my friends and family!

5 Stars Love my new G10 – Awesome picture
I love my new TV. The picture quality is great. Movies on Blue ray look outstanding. Vieracast needs more work. Wish they would add Netflix.

Sound is a little week, but connecting it HT system works great. AVCHD on a SD card from my Canon HD camcorder never worked. It did not find any movies on the card.

Also wish the pictures on SD card could be resized to fit the screen.

I had my TV delivered to California using Pilot. Contrary to most users experience with Pilot shipping, they never did any anything other than to drop the box off. No unpacking or connecting to it to a stand, no nothing.

The TV was dropped on in living room and delivery guy gave me a form to sign. When I asked him if it was OK to check the TV before signing, he told me to go ahead and pulled the top off. I just checked the top part of the TV and then he was gone. It took them less 10 mins.

I had to haul the 50” TV on to its stand. I guess not all delivery guys go the extra mile.

5 Stars Panasonic G10 Seies Plasma HDTV
I have watched and read numerous reviews over the years and finally made the plunge and I believe I made the best choice. This TV is awesome: lightwieght, easy to assemble, incredible picture and sound, and fairly easy to use remote and menu choices.

1 Star SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH PANASONIC!
I have a 52″ panasonic tv that is less then 2 years old resently it has just turned off all by itself and will not work unless it is unplugged for 15-30 min.s and then it just turns off again after less than and hour of it being turned on it, has been doing this for 2 weeks now, I called panasonic and they gave me the numbers of 2 service centers in my area, AFTER BEING ON HOLD WITH THEIR SERVICE LINE FOR NEARLY 2 HOURS (and if you live in an area where there are no service centers your basicly screwed), neither of which would answer their phones, my tv now will not turn on at all. It did not over heat it is not in the sun and there was no power surge to cause this. I have continued to call panasonic for their help but they have told me the tv is past the 1 year warranty and there are “limited” options right now. One of the service centers finnaly called me back and the MINNIMUM cost of repair for something like this is 400-500$$$ and he said he sees this all the time more than not with these tv’s!!!!! Look around on-line flatscreen and plasmas are KNOWN for doing this and yet no one mentions this before you buy it!!! So if you plan on spending some money on a tv get the longest warranty that is offered because this will more than likely happen to you and panasonic does NOTHING to back their products or to help their customers!!!!! Buy a tv through a company that has a good warranty and has good customer service NOT PANASONIC!!!!

5 Stars Best Picture Quality For Price
Had this for three months so far. My affection for this tv keep growing. I sit 8′ away, and use it for xbox360 and blu rays. Everything looks great. Blacks are deep, colors are rich, resolution is sharp. I have it on custom mode because I like it better than THX.

My sister has the X1, I think the G10 looks better, a lot blacker, sharper.

My friend has the S1, I think the G10 looks better, still blacker, sharper.

My wife’s dad has the V10, I think the G10 looks identical.

To me the G10 is the sweet spot, best picture without paying extra $$$ for features I don’t care about. And yes, I like plasma image quality better than lcd image quality, but I only play games and watch movies at night in a dark home theater.

Anyway, I just wanted to chip in in another 5-star review, because I love this tv. No buyers remorse here.

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars Problems picture freezing with PS3 and LCD TV
Perhaps I just had a bad cable but almost from the day it was installed I had problems with the picture freezing while playing games/watching movies on my PS3. Since I had never run an HDMI setup before, I wasn’t sure at first what was causing the problem. I thought the HDMI connection on my PS3 and/or the TV might be defective. It took a while, but after reading some other reviewer comments I came to the realization that the problem was most likely the cable. I decided on a Monster 8ft M1000HD that I got off eBay for $26 with free shipping and sure enough the problem cleared right up. Not only did the problem go away, but the picture quality itself was greatly improved (including that of my Blu-ray DVDs). Until I replaced the cable, I wasn’t impressed with HDMI and wondered what all the fuss was about. (I had been running component cables until I made the switch). I am so impressed now I am considering replacing my older Xbox 360 with a newer model that supports HDMI.

Understand I don’t advocate spending $200 on a HDMI cable but at the least, if I was doing it again, I would consider the Mediabridge HDMI cables – the 6ft cable has over 302 5-star reviews out of 328 so looks like a good investment and you can get it for $10. Sure I only spent $3 on this cable but the amount of frustration I endured until I figured out the problem was far in excess of that..perhaps I should have stuck with the cable and returned it to the vendor but I was tired of fighting the problem and decided to start from scratch.

Some other facts about my setup – I am using a older Philips 26″ HD LCD TV that supports 720p and 1080i (only). Given the nature of my particular problem (picture freezing) having or not having a high speed cable wasn’t an issue…

5 Stars Great deal on this HDMI Cable…
This arrived on time and was exactly as specified. I would purchase from this seller again.

1 Star Doesn’t work with Sony sync products
The product arrived very fast, however, I can only rate this product 1 star because whenever this cord was connected between my Sony LCD TV and Sony Receiver all of my sync settings would disappear. Usually, whenever I connect a HDMI cable from my TV to my Receiver and from my Blu Ray player to my receiver, one remote control would control everything. Also, whenever I turned on my blu ray player, my tv would automatically turn on, as well as the receiver. Once I used this cord, however, everything stopped handshaking with each other (even after resetting everything). I used the feature on my Sony W4100 52 inch LCD that says “find compatible HDMI devices”, and my TV could not find anything with this cable. After replacing this cable with another HDMI cable (as a control), my TV instantly found my other devices and synced with them. I wish I could explain this phenomenon, but I can’t. Otherwise, the picture was clear. So if you are not relying on this cord for syncing Sony products, I would still recommend it.

5 Stars Very Good Buy
I bought this for my home entertainment center. They are probably one of the best deals I got for the whole home theater. If you are considering buying Monster, just buy these cables and use the money that you saved as fireplace starters are something. My point is you will be waisting the extra money. My system looks and sounds perfect with these cables. If you still feel the urge to spend the extra money on the expensive cables. Buy these cables too. Then do a comparison. All I have to say is save your reciept for the expensive cables.

5 Stars Great product, great value
This product works great. Quality 15 ft cable produces a very clear picture. The title is a little misleading. This is simply an HDMI cable v1.3 which works with anything… tv, pc, dvd, etc. Don’t waste your money on some brand name cable when generic cables work fine for just a few bucks. Until you start using cables over 25ft, just stick with the cheap stuff online which works just as good as the rip-off name brands sold in stores. Even then, I’d take the risk of a cheap 50ft cable not working over buying a $100+ cable any day.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Don’t waste your money at the store, these are great!
As the title says, don’t waste your money at the store. While they over-inflate the prices at the store, you can get these a lot cheaper, and they work just as great. I use them for my monitor and have been for months. Not a single issue at all.

Pros:

Cheap

Work Great

Cons:

None

1 Star does not work at all
i connected this from a western digital mediaserver

box, with the HDMI output, to a gateway 19″ VGA widescreen

monitor..

simple? nope, didn’t work at all.

didn’t cost much though.

2 Stars i guess????
i had dvi to vga and i thought if i used this cable that it would give me even better video. no i didnt it gave me video but poor blurry quality video. the picture didnt even fit on my 19” sony bravia kdl-19m400. the color was funny looking. if you have dvi to dvi great. dvi to vga cool. dvi to hdmi dont!!!

3 Stars You get what you pay for
It works as it’s supposed to, but barely. The cable needs to be completely inserted and screwed in tightly into the DVI device to work at all. When I first connected it I thought it was DOA. The picture occasionally will “glitch” with colored lines although it’s barely perceptible. Obviously not expecting much at this price but you’re probably better served ordering something else if it’s at all important. Also, the connectors look gold plated but clearly are not.

5 Stars works
my computer to the tv. and i was able to watch a movie as soon as possible. the vga component died so this piece made up and used one of the 3 hdmi and was happy with it. picture is 3x better than vga. shipping was slow

Terk HDTVa Indoor Amplified High Definition Antenna for Off Air HDTV Reception

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Terk HDTVa Indoor Amplified High Definition Antenna for Off Air HDTV Reception

Have you just bought a widescreen HDTV compatible TV? There are a few options on how to get any or good HDTV reception. Cable-TV and Satellite might be the best but the monthly rates are over $40 each month. HDTV is also available free over broadcast airwaves. This is an indoor antenna that’s designed to capture HDTV from normal VHF and UHF TV tuner frequencies. Provides access to no-cost HD programming Excellent for urban environments where space is at a premium and outdoor antenna installation isn’t possible Appealing design with small footprint Anyone can install HDTVa in minutes

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars The best indoor digital antenna
I have two amplified Terk indoor digital TV antennas and two of the regular Philip Silver Sensors. The Terk amplified ones receive ALL the available channels in the Chicago area, even Channel 2 which was almost impossible to receive. I still cannot receive it on a regular indoor digital antenna. I am 20 miles west of Chicago in the suburbs. I find reception even better than my old rooftop antenna which tends to vary with weather conditions. The best antenna if you don’t have cable and need an indoor table top antenna for digital reception. It is a bit clumsy and the rabbit ears have to be well extended for the best reception, but worth it to receive the most digital channels on “free” TV.

5 Stars One antenna for my entire house – running two TVs
I have the antenna hooked into the existing cable wires that run through the walls in my house (the wires that used to run the cable company’s signal – I just disconnected their wire and connected the antenna). I am getting perfect reception at all of the outlets, even two floors away from the antenna. I am about 32-39 miles from the TV broadcast towers. I am pulling in 17 channels for free. I highly recommend this antenna! The key to using this antenna (and probably any antenna) is to put it as high as possible in your house.

Free yourself from the cable company and their high prices!!!

4 Stars Better than others but…
The Terk works better than others that I have tried but I still have to mess around repositioning for different channels ( even though all of my towers are in the same place). Some of my local channels are UHF and some are still on VHF.

When people walk by in the hallway or enter the room, the signal will often drop out momentarily – very annoying.

4 Stars Good, consistent reception
This was a simple hookup and worked relatively well for a few weeks. When reception became spotty, I attached an extension and moved the antenna closer to a window. Now I am getting a few additional channels than before. I get all the networks, several local stations and all the PBS offerings in our area. Some signals are stronger than others, but it works consistently (even through the recent foul weather we’ve sustained in late spring/early summer).

4 Stars Better than Others
Having bought antenna from Best Buy, Radio Shack and Circuit City, this is our best antenna so far. It replaces the Phillips here in the kitchen and gets five more stations than we did. Bought it because I bought a Terk HDTVa for the family room to replace the Radio Shack and that one works great even though it is at ground level. So I have five antennae for the yard sale!

P.S. You have to go into the program on your TV and delete the settings in the memory for the stations you were watching before 13 June and then reset!
