Works like a charm!!

Best Buy wanted $59.99 + taxes when I bought my boyfriends birthday present; a new Suround sound system. Because i’m a bargin shopper i decided to wait and look around – a only had a week to find it if i wanted it in time. I looked on Amazon and found it for .24 yes – twenty four cents!!!!!! I couldn’t believe it so I called Best Buy to make sure that it was the right one and they said “yes”. The way I look at it is that I got what I needed and only paid the taxes on it! How can you bet that. It’s been a few weeks know and everything works GREAT!!!!

Thank god for Amazon! (with the extra money I was able to buy him a sweet wireless outdoor speaker!

5 Stars An Excellent Product
How can you beat this? It’s a fully functional HDMI cable, longer than I will ever need, fully supporting CEC audio, and for less than a dollar.

4 Stars Too good to be true??? It’s true!
Why does Walmart sell 6′ HDMI cables for $28 but you can get them on Amazon for < $1.00? I have no idea. But the cables came fast, they work, and my credit card does not seem to be stolen. So far, you can't beat this with a stick!

5 Stars Works great, can’t beat the price.
It’s pretty simple here… This was extremely inexpensive, but worked great when we hooked up our HDTV. Using a more inexpensive HDMI cable can sometimes cause signal issues over LONG distances, but at this distance the signal was perfect. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cable.

5 Stars excelent
bought this cable for use between both xbox360 and dvd player, works great, best price i’ve ever seen, no complaints

Antennas Direct DB2 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna

Antennas Direct DB2 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna

Although the DB2 was originally designed for outdoor use, it has quickly become one of the most popular indoor antennas due to its small size and extraordinary gain. The bowtie design provides strong gain across the entire UHF spectrum and it functions incredibly well in areas where a low profile antenna is required.

5 Stars Great antenna for the price!
So far the antenna has been great. We have satelite also, a bad storm came through the other week and we lost satelite signal but the antenna signal stayed strong and steady.

I have already encouraged 2 friends to look into the antenna. In our area, the antenna almost makes it worth disconnecting the satelite. We get so many HD channels with the antenna, the satelite seems like a waste of money.

5 Stars Antennas Didrect DB2 Multidirectional HDTV Antenna
I bought this antenna to use for local HDTV stations. I mounted it in the attic of a single story house. I live less than 12 miles, as the crow flies, from the TV station antennas. Using DircTV’s signal strength indication in the DirecTV receiver, all of the five stations available have a signal strength greater than 95. I like using an antenna in the attic that does not require an amplifier. The temperature in the attic can be high in my area which stresses the electronics. I’m very satisfied with the antenna for my application.

5 Stars 100% Signal on my Four Main Networks (16 miles away)
First, let me say that I have tried 3 different indoor and indoor/outdoor combination antennas (regular RCA rabbit ears, the best reviewed RadioShack indoor antenna, and the Phillips MANT940…they all didn’t work)to try and get reception on my main HDTV downstairs and through the house from where the signals should be coming from. I recommend heading to antennaweb.org to figure out where your main signals come from. It will also tell you whether or not you need a single direction or multi-directional antenna. I probably could have gotten by with a single direction, but the price on this was cheap and the reviews were good.

I got sick of paying Dish $6 a month for my locals not in HD so I got this antenna. I just finished hooking it up yesterday. I mounted it in the attic of my garage on the side of the house that faces Lexington (biggest city where I live…about 16 miles to signals). Supposedly according to the information they sent with it, attic mounting can cut your signal by 30%. But I’m still getting 100% on my four main local channels and 88% is the lowest I get on the not so worthwhile channels. I didn’t even really have to spend much time messing around with the aiming of it, pretty much just put it up and mounted it. I bought the bracket with it, but I ended up just drilling a couple of holes in the closest truss to the front of the garage.

I would definitely recommend this antenna to anyone trying to get a good HDTV signal. Most stations have switched to UHF band for the digital transition, some still have VHF, one of the locals that I get on this antenna is VHF, so it does work for both bands. Very easy to mount, and I can just imagine what kind of stations I’d get if I put it on the roof.

5 Stars Fabulous Antenna
This antenna does an outstanding job of pulling in digital television stations from near and far. It is the third antenna I tried with our HDTV and it is by far the best. Our old rabbit ears did alright, but they needed constant adjustment and the cable final broke off because of all the movement. I then tried a boosted antenna that was less successful at pulling in stations. The DB2 performed much better and without boosting. We are receiving more than 35 stations, including several from Baltimore which is 40 miles away. Moreover, the DB2 is compact enough to fit out of the way behind our HDTV set on our wall unit/bookshelf. It would probably even perform better if we installed it on our roof, but it was so simple to just place it behind out television.

3 Stars DB2 antenna
Good for UHF. Not good for VHF. But not yet clear if anything will work ( its a 2nd floor NYC apartment).

5 Stars Exactly what I wanted…
This was exactly what I was looking for and at a great price. The seller described it exactly and shipped quickly. I am very satisfied with the merchandise and the seller. I would be willing to purchase from this seller again.

1 Star don’t believe the hype
I have a brand new Samsung hdtv 1080p so I wanted to transfer the best picture from my cable box and home theatre receiver to my tv so I bought two of these thinking they are 1.3 certified so it must be the same as spending top dollar right, well i was dead wrong. I hooked up component cables from my cable box too and froze the screen and made a comparising by switching input sources on my tv. It was frozen on a face and the difference was not a huge difference just that the with hdmi cable the hair was bland and with the component cable the hair was shiny and you could see more detail like little curls in the hair. Then I changed the channel for another comparising and just happened upon Dr.Phil… It was like night and day, the component cables made him look more crisp and clear…. very obvious to me.. I just purchased monster component cables for my blu ray… I don’t if it’s hype that hdmi delivers the best picture or in this case, as i’ve read a lot in reviews” you get what you pay for” Good luck everyone

5 Stars cheaper alternative
At first i thought .25 ? is it a mistake ,i just paid $59.99 for a hdmi cable at Best Buy. its no mistake cost me more to ship it to hawaii ($2.85) recently the price dropped to $.21 get it here don’t support high prices at other stores(oh yeah, works just fine)

5 Stars Exactly as planned
I ordered two of these cables for two separate devices. One was for my XBOX 360, and the other was for my father’s new DVD player. I paid for premium shipping and they arrived on the exact day I needed them. Both cables perform beautifully and completely out class component cables.

4 Stars Comparative Results: Technically Average, Overall Value Excellent
Comparative Results: Technically Average, Overall Value Excellent (4 stars for build quality, but still the best value)

**Explanation**

Explanation of technique used for Review (actual results are below with accompanying title).

My first inclination when I received this cable, was to attempt to do a side-by-side comparison of various HDMI cables to determine what benefit, if any the various cables provide. To make such a test fair however, I had to find identical televisions, input devices, (cable box, blu-ray, standard dvd, etc), and a place to put them; as you may imagine this proved to be way more effort than it would be worth.

After contemplating the issue I came to the conclusion that such a test would be pretty worthless anyways. Since I (like most people) never watch identical televisions side by side the real question lies in whether one HDMI cable improves the picture enough that it is discernable without viewing the pictures simultaneously. After all, if a viewer cannot discern a difference between the two without looking at both together, then there is no justifiable reason to buy one over the other.

With this in mind I used the following equipment to test the cables:

Television: Sony Grand WEGA KDS-55A2000 55-Inch SXRD 1080p Rear Projection HDTV

Cables:

1. HDMI Cable 6ft 6 ft 1.3 1080P FOR PS3 TO DVD LCD HDTV

2. Cables To Go 98035 Premium HDMI v1.3 Digital Audio/Video Cable (8 Feet, Black/Grey)

3. Mediabridge – 6ft Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable – 120 Hz – Version 1.3 Category 2 – 1080p – PS3 – Blu-Ray

4. Monster M Series M1000 HDTV HDMI Cable (8 ft. / 2.43 m.)

5. Sony 5mm High speed HDMI cable ver. 1.3 (White)

Inputs:

1. PlayStation 3 80GB

2. Optimum HD Cable Box/DVR (not sure of the model number)

**The Test**

To conduct the test I had my wife label each of the cables with a number, the cables were mixed then piled together behind the television. With my wife assigned as the operator. I and two friends sat on the other side of the television. We watched pieces of Planet Earth on Blu-Ray, as well as Transformers on Blu-Ray and Standard Def. In addition, we watched the same song from American Idol in both HD and SD, and portions of an NBA playoff game.

Each of us had a card numbered 1-5 with space for comments on image quality, sound, etc., for each cable. The test was, as aforementioned, blind. This was to ensure that one of my friends (one of whom provided the $200 monster cable) and I, owner of the .01 + shipping no name cable (and most of the other ones) would not be biased by knowing it was our cable. If you shell out $200 for something you really want it to outperform, which creates bias.

And now:

**The Results**

All three of us agreed that there were no conclusive differences in the test. After a lot of switching between various inputs the conclusion was that while we occasionally perceived slight differences it was never clear and would be impossible to tell if the two pictures were not side by side.

Thus I must conclude that these 5 HDMI cables are, for all practical purposes, identical. Which means that they all had average performance and the main purchase determiners are price, aesthetic quality and build quality.

So to sum up, taking into account my opinion of the different cables, the HDMI Cable 6ft 6 ft 1.3 1080P FOR PS3 TO DVD LCD HDTV is the cheapest and feels it, it will probably need to be replaced soonest as well but at .01 cent plus shipping you can afford to. The Cables To Go 98035 Premium HDMI v1.3 Digital Audio/Video Cable (8 Feet, Black/Grey) and Mediabridge – 6ft Ultra-High Speed HDMI Cable – 120 Hz – Version 1.3 Category 2 – 1080p – PS3 – Blu-Ray were pretty similar but I like the design and build quality of the Cable-to-Go a little more, it feels more solid, I feel like this one would last a while longer than the first cable but I didn’t do any endurance tests. My least favorite of the bunch in terms of feel/price was the Sony 5mm High speed HDMI cable ver. 1.3 (White) which I felt, was very thin and cheap feeling considering its price tag, I wouldn’t bet that it would outlast either the Cable-to-Go cable or the Mediabridge. The Monster M Series M1000 HDTV HDMI Cable (8 ft. / 2.43 m.) is well made and aesthetically pleasing and looks as if it will last you until something replaces HDMI, I cannot however recommend it because the price tag is simply preposterous, as it provides no visual or auditory improvement.
