Digital TV Switchover
Did you know the UK is going digital?
The switchover to digital TV is a government policy that will mean almost everyone will be able to receive digital TV through an aerial (Freeview). Due to the fact that digital TV uses less broadcasting space than traditional TV this means there will be more capacity for services such as wireless broadband, local TV and HD TV (High Definition TV).
In order to keep your TV service after the switchover, you will need to make sure your TV can accept the new digital service.
When will the Switchover Happen?
The timing of the switchover in the UK will depend on which TV region you live in. When it happens, the switchover will happen region by region and transmitter by transmitter.
In some areas, the switchover has already started. For more information about the digital switchover, please check the website.
